Join our dedicated team as a Bank Learning Support Assistant (LSA) supporting our specialist schools in Swansea, Dan Y Coed School in Gowerton and Ty Trafle School in West Cross, and become part of a nurturing, supportive environment where no two days are ever the same. About Our Swansea Schools As a member of our bank team, you'll have the opportunity to work across both of our specialist schools in Swansea: Dan Y Coed School, Gowerton – A purpose-built school offering a calm, structured learning environment with small class sizes and highly personalised support. Ty Trafle School, West Cross – A specialist setting focused on helping pupils build confidence, independence, and life skills through tailored educational programmes and therapeutic support. Both schools share a commitment to providing outstanding education and creating positive outcomes for every learner. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Support teachers to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them develop social and academic skills. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through patience, empathy, and encouragement. Assist with personal care routines where required, ensuring every child's comfort and dignity. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support each pupil's individual progress. Help organise and take part in creative, hands-on learning activities, both in and out of the classroom. We're looking for someone who Has a caring, compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for helping children and young people. Brings energy, patience, and a positive approach to every day. Is adaptable, reliable, and confident working across different school environments. Holds GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent). Ideally has experience working with children with additional learning needs, although full training is provided.
