Catering Assistant — Sevenoaks School Location: Sevenoaks School, High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HU Pay: £13.09 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 of 7 days (shifts 07:00–15:30 or 11:00–19:30), fully flexible Contract: Permanent, full-time, term time only (39 weeks) · On-site parking · Free gym membership Sodexo is looking for a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to join our team at Sevenoaks School. You'll help prepare and serve great food to our standards and keep our kitchen and dining areas spotless, giving students, staff and visitors a warm and helpful service. Catering experience is helpful but not essential — full training and uniform are provided. What you'll do Assist with preparing and serving food to Sodexo's standards Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic, following the cleaning rota (equipment, surfaces, floors and fittings) Load and replenish service counters and keep supplies well stocked Support deliveries, storage and occasional special functions (sometimes out of hours) Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures What we're looking for A positive, reliable attitude and a strong team ethic Good communication, organisation and attention to detail Able to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks High standards of personal and food hygiene Catering/food-service experience welcome, but not essential What we offer Full training and uniform provided On-site parking and free gym membership Wellbeing support — 24/7 virtual GP, Employee Assistance Programme, and unlimited online mental-health support Pension, life assurance, Cycle to Work scheme and colleague discounts Learning and development opportunities across Sodexo This role is based in a school and is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and our standard pre-employment checks.
